"Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart." - Shinichi Suzuki
Suzuki flute lessons begin at the age of 3. Lessons will take place weekly and are 25-30 minutes in length depending on the child's attention span. A parent is required to be present during the lesson in order to learn along with the child and help them to practice. A parent's involvement and commitment is absolutely essential in order for the child to learn and progress.

These are two very easy & interesting books that will help you to understand the orgin of the Suzuki method and why it is so successful!
