Jennifer Janson is a professional flutist and has been teaching flute for 13 years. Jennifer has a blossoming private flute studio in West Philadelphia. In addition, Jennifer is a board certified master's level Music Therapist and has worked with kids in adoption & foster care, along with children with special needs & autism.

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts in flute from the University of Delaware in May of 2000 and was awarded the MTNA (Music Teacher's National Association) Student Achievement Recognition Award upon graduation. In May of 2005, Jennifer graduated with her Master of Arts in Music Therapy, MA, MT-BC, from Hahnemann/Drexel University.

In addition to her studies, Jennifer also holds certifications in early childhood music instruction, including Musikgarten, Orff, and Suzuki. From her broad range of experience, Jennifer has recently created her own early child music program titled "Music Child Adventures," with friend & colleague Alexis Geib, MA, MT-BC.

Jennifer's flute teachers include Philadelphia Orchestra's Kazuo Tokito, Jan Boland of Red Cedar Chamber Music, and Eileen Grycky from the Opera Company of Philadelphia & Delaware Symphony Orchestra.

Currently, Jennifer is a member of the Janson~ Bozenhard Flute & Guitar Duo where she performs a variety of reperoire with guitarist David Bozenhard. The Duo participates annually in the Red Cedar Chamber Music Festival (IA) where they collaborate with other flute & guitar duos from around the country.
